Behavioral Urgent Care is a non-emergent care option that is focused on stabilizing the patient’s mental health and
providing them with support during the transition back into their communities. In addition, Behavioral Urgent Care
typically does not involve hospitalization, unlike psychiatric hospitals.
For mental health services, this is defined as access to care within 48 hours (about 2 days). At Oliver Winston, we
strive to get you scheduled for an intake evaluation within this period. Sometimes, this can be done on the day you
call us.
